(BPA) Update
FDA Delays Release of BPA
Report
The
U.S. Food and Drug Administration was scheduled today to provide an
update on its long-anticipated final report on the safety of BPA, but
has instead delayed the release of the report. An FDA spokesperson
declined comment on why the agency has delayed the report, and stated that
there was “no firm date” for a decision on the report’s release.
Reports from earlier today suggested that FDA is requesting additional time
to continue its review of hundreds of studies and reports before making a
final determination on BPA’s safety.
